This option gives a nominal 40mm lift over factory standard.*
Standard suspension kit with Foam Cell shock absorbers. With this option the ride will be about 20% firmer than factory fit, and suits light to medium loads. This option is recommended for vehicles carrying occasional or temporary heavier loads. Good choice for vehicles that have some accessories fitted.
Kit contains 4 Foam Cell shock absorbers, 2 torsion bars, 2 leaf springs, and all u-bolts and bushes,
and is covered by the Ironman 2-Year 40,000km Ironclad Warranty.
There is no single formula to cover the varying needs of (i) 4x4 owners and (ii) different driving conditions, therefore we offer a wide selection of Ironman 4x4 matched components.
Correct selection and fitment of a suspension kit will match the vehicle's performance to the driver's needs.
- All Ironman Springs are designed to provide a certain amount of vehicle lift over factory fit for a new vehicle.
For Leaf Springs expect around 50mm and for Coil Springs expect 40mm minimum.*
- IFS or IRS (Independent Suspension) equipped vehicles generally lift around 35mm.
- The nominal lift is included in the description of every kit listed on this site.
- Ironman 4x4 Suspension can be supplied to suit different driving styles: comfort, performance & constant load (see description below).
How much lift will I get?
Nitro Gas or Foam Cell?
- Ironman Nitro Gas Shock Absorbers with 35mm piston, were developed for the 4x4 owner who drives mostly onroad but still requires enhanced ride, comfort and strength for weekend offroad adventure.
- Ironman Foam Cell Shock Absorbers with 41mm piston were developed to perform best on 4x4s used in demanding and extended offroad conditions. The Foam Cell Shock Absorber is also versatile, also providing a comfortable ride onroad.
|Types of Ironman suspension kits|
|Comfort, with Nitro Gas shock absorbers.||The Comfort option provides some lift from factory standard; used where comfort is the preference rather than firm control. This design is best suited to light or no-load applications.|
|Comfort, with Foam Cell shock absorbers.|
|Performance, with Nitro Gas shock absorbers.||With this option the ride will be about 20% firmer than factory fit, and suits light to medium loads. This option is recommended for vehicles carrying occasional or temporary heavier loads. Good choice for vehicles with some accessories fitted.|
|Performance, with Foam Cell shock absorbers.|
|Constant Load, with Nitro Gas shock absorbers.||This option is the choice for vehicles frequently carrying heavy loads., and is especially suitable when multiple heavy accessories or steel trays/toolboxes are fitted. This option should not be chosen for vehicles that most often carry light or no loads.|
|Constant Load, with Foam Cell shock absorbers.|
|Mining Load, with Nitro Gas shock absorbers.||Extra heavy duty components are designed to support heavier constant loads, and when heavy accessories are combined with heavy payloads.|
|Mining Load, with Foam Cell shock absorbers.|
|Extra Constant Load, Nitro Gas shock absorbers.||Same as the Constant Load option, but with heavier spec coil springs.|
|Extra Constant Load, Foam Cell shock absorbers.|
|Extra Load Mining, Nitro Gas shock absorbers.||This is the heaviest duty option, designed for vehicles that are constantly used for heavy duty mining and related activities, within the vehicle's load specifications.|
